The busiest time in Davos is during The Economic Forum that takes place the last week of every January. Davos offers beautiful alpine views and more with the white Klosters, but during the Davos Conference, you can still enjoy that view but with a new landscape: more than 5,000 security personnel to protect the world’s elite during that week, limos and helicopters as a way of transportation.

Hotel rooms are fully booked and the remaining rooms outside the city are 500% higher than their normal prices. So definitely, forget about being a tourist during that week because the city is practically closed for people who are not attending the forum.

So, the question is where is all the action occurring during that week? It is the Steigenberger Grandhotel Belvédère, the most heavily fortified hotel in the world during this period of time besides its beautiful architecture, it is strategically located near the Conference Centre, a reason why this hotel is fully packed during those days. On the other hand, in that hotel, you can find celebrities and the world’s elite such as  Bill Clinton,  Bill Gates, Melania Trump, and even Matt Damon.

The whole rooms and suites will be filled by them and the facilities will be used as meeting rooms, even the spa and the pool will be drained to provide extra space.  Because many of the most significant events are held at the hotel. According to an article written by  The Famous Hotel in the World, Tina Heide, general manager of the Belvedere, a Steigenberger Hotel explains: “We hold some of the most important meetings at the hotel. In three days, we have 300 functions.’ Also, this hotel is reserved for only global A-List members, so tourists can’t book a room during the Economic Forum week no matter what they are willing to pay.
